Life
has been very good to me. I've been married to my husband, Matt,
for 30 years. We have two grown children. Our son, Brian,
after graduating from UCSD went to work for DeepEnd in San
Francisco, then later formed a company with a couple of friends
in San Francisco. He's been taking Japanese classes part time
but will be going to San Francisco State full time to get
his degree in Japanese. Then it's on to Japan for him.
Our daughter Lindsay gave birth to her 3rd child two weeks
ago. Together, she and her husband have an 11 yr old, an 8
year old, a one year old, and a new baby. So needless to say
her work's cut out for her.
I've had a number of jobs over the years, but have been fortunate
to find a job that allows me to work from home. I'm the Event
Coordinator for the last 11 years for a Silicon Valley company,
In-Stat/MDR, with Reed Electronics Group. I'm part of a small
group that plans and hosts conferences specific to the microprocessor
and embedded processor. It's a lot of fun!
We've done a lot of traveling over the years, but there's
no place like home, and family.
Life's had it's ups and downs for us, as I'm sure it has
for all of us. I lost my mom last October. I've gone through
a couple major setbacks, like a week-long coma in 88 from
spinal meningitis, a broken tibia/fibula, complete with rods
and hardware my first time snow-skiing in 98. But overall,
I've been blessed with good health, good friends, and good
times. |
