I want to thank everyone involved with this
web site! I think it is wonderful and I have already heard from two classmates I have
not seen or heard from since we graduated. Thank you so much!
After a marriage of 30 years and raising three wonderful
daughters, I have been single for seven years. I have six grandkids, nine step grandkids and a great granddaughter! Being
a grandparent is the most wonderful thing in the world!!!
Over the years, I have dispatched ambulances, was a manager
in three different sales companies, worked as a social worker
in skilled nursing facilities for ten or twelve years, and
now am working for SBC/Pacific Bell as a directory assistance
operator. Very interesting work!
A year ago I had brain surgery to remove a benign tumor that
has left me deaf in my left ear. I am still recovering from
it. It also took away my balance so must use a cane to keep
from falling! Which I have done several times! I may or may
not recover fully, but it has not stopped me from doing my
favorite thing, and that is tent camping at Bodega Bay. I
go as often as I can and walk the beach and collect shells.
It is so relaxing and renews my spirit!!
I was lucky enough to go on a cruise to Mexico with my mother
and 3 of my sisters in 1998. (My ex was not the traveling
kind). Other than that, I have been to San Diego on another
trip with two of my sisters where we spent nine days seeing
the sights of LA and San Diego. If you ever get the chance
to go to LA don't miss Medieval Times! It was a fabulous show!!
I love music and poetry and have been very fortunate to have
had two of my poems published. I am an avid reader as well.
There are lots of things I want to try, such as painting.
I do a lot of crafts too. Well, I may not have had a very
exciting life but I would not have missed any of it for the
world! My children and grandchildren have truly been a blessing
and my dear friends as well, two of whom are classmates I
am trying to convince to log on to the web site!!
Thanks again for this wonderful opportunity to keep in touch
and see what has happened to everyone over the years. Hopefully
I can dig up a picture to send in the near future! |
