2003 -
My biography is pretty simple.
I left Analy and went to Humboldt State and received a BS
in wildlife biology in 1969 . ( I spent one of those semesters
in Uppsala, Sweden).
I was married ( and still am) my senior year. I spent a year
as Park Range in Big Sur in 1970 and then transferred to Fish
and Game where I have been ever since. I have spent time in
Long Beach, Bishop, Sacramento, Yountville, Redding, and now
back to Sacramento. I have done everything from counting salmon
to shooting elk out of a helicopter ( with a tranquilizer).
I was biologist most of the time but was a deputy director
for a while.
I am now the Regional manager for the 17 counties around
Sacramento. It has been a great job, and I have really had
a good time. I helped on the Cantara Railroad spill and tried
to kill the Fish in Lake Davis once too. I have six kids so
far. I do a lot of volunteer work for Boy Scouts and the LDS
church. I enjoy fishing, hunting, backpacking, reading , gardening,
and life in general.
